His aunt told NBC that Suleman only agreed to go because it was Father’s Day weekend and he did not want to disappoint his dad.

I would let some on board if they were even slightly scared or hesitant, you wouldn't want anyone to have a freakout.

Ugh. Well, at least it seems it happened so fast they wouldn't have even known what hit them, so there's a bit of mercy, anyway.

I read that Josh Gates from Discovery Channel fame was asked to join a trip on the Titan but he was concerned about the safety of the sub and declined the invitation!

He went once and was offered a second trip to film. He said no... I've seen him get on planes held together with ductape and he said no to going down again..

That’s fucking horrible. And everyone cheering about a billionaire eating it, when they realize that innocent lives were lost.
scoutMoonDiver
The billionaires did it for shits and giggles. Meanwhile hundreds of refugees, with nothing but the clothes on their backs and seeking a better life drown in the Mediterranean and the media barely makes a peep.
WeatherWiz
Well I didn’t hear about that. Link me the story to that. But that is also upsetting too. So I agree with you. There are a lot of horrible things that happen in this world and I would be here all day if I could name them all. But this post is about the sub not the migrants, hence my comment. It has nothing to do with me being ignorant to this incident, which I was not made aware of.

So where is the social outcry when almost daily dozens of migrant refugees die trying to get from places of war and strife to a new place of safety and stability.
