Okeanos Deep Sea Sightings August 31rd, 2023

Here are some videos from the Okeanos Explorer's D2 ROV dive. This is a suspicious octopus.

At the end it almost looks like a giant :D face, with a mustache.

There's that incredible optical zoom from the Okeanos camera. Not even a full zoom.

Apparently I've lost my social security card. it's not in the exact location I've only ever kept it in. Antique book that farts the old book smell the moment you open it.

Deep sea slugs hugging. "hugging."

I'd be more upset about losing my card if my identity had a single valuable thing associated with it.

Some unfortunate acne for this deep sea octopus, we've all been there at some point.
