LinkedIn is better than average as far as the Internet goes... Buuuuuutt... there's always a chance someone is trying an angle... Just be careful and diligent... Research anyone you talk too and dont give to much personal details you dont have too... I recently got a great job through LinkedIn and I'm very happy with it. Has turned out great... If your spidey sense starts tingling though... just walk away if you cant find an easy way to verify the person to your satisfaction. Good Luck.

Always use due diligence, but I know several people that have gotten & accepted job offers cold called from LinkedIn.

Do you know the company? Google search and see if they are real. If real call the office number on the website and see if you can talk to

Possible, however LinkedIn is fairly reputable. Do due dilligence and see if the offer is real. Never send money.

Yes. These things are effectively public information already; if you are using them for password recovery, stop doing that.
