A superhero who was forced into retirement due to legal challenges is itching to get back in action, despite working and raising a family.
THE INCREDIBLES has lost none of its punch in the last two decades. A satisfyingly complex and nuanced take on comic book stories, the film looks at midlife crises, forgotten dreams, the desire to be special, and even wrestles with the question of infidelity. The action sequences are fantastic, full to bursting with visual panache and humor. “100 mile Dash” still hasn’t been topped by anything seen in subsequent movies, live action or animated. The lovable characters and retro-future aesthetic make this movie easy to watch over and over.
