This is a Pratt and Whitney TF33 102C. Pretty old tech and not maintenance friendly..but troubleshooting jet engines by experience makes a better mechanic in my opinion. Today's engines self diagnose electronically and data is downloaded for trending. Thrust reversers and gearboxes are fun on these.(sarcasm)

Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads.
Dangermouse5
Lol! And clean these windows! Look at that muck!

+1 for the Fletch reference I was hoping to find.

the face says "I hope this is the correct torque because I just shredded the head of this bolt" but the rest says "qualified technician"
Dangermouse5
Safety wiring a v band clamp on air starter. These air start motors put out 550 foot lbs of torque. Gotta get n2 speed up there.

I feel your pain working on the old stuff. Good luck and may your hands not be sliced by poor pig tails.
Dangermouse5
Bled many a time being poked by bad pig tails 9n safetywire. I dread emptying my pockets after an engine change. Like a metal birdnest.
StarscreamAndHutch
So many puncture wounds. Glad I don’t deal with that anymore.
