I've never gotten the flu shot and have never gotten the flu. I just don't like needles. However, I still recommend people get the shot

You cannot teach one who refuse to learn.

I've never had the shot and never had the flu. I'm not saying don't get it but I'm not gonna start now.

I used to get it when I took flu shots. Haven't had one in over a decade and haven't had the flu in over a decade. Coincidence? Maybe.

Same.

Explain this: if I contract the flu, of what benefit would a vaccine be at that point?

You're less likely to spread it? Although honestly, if you get the flu you should isolate yourself anyway, with or without the vaccine.

None.

The flu vaccine can help lessen the symptoms of the flu virus, by pro-actively preparing your immune system.

It provides no benefit if you are already have the flu virus inside of you.

I refuse flu shots but will get vaccinations for about anything else. Also, haven't had full on flu for a long time. Works for me

Same, exactly the same. Only got the flu when I took flu shots.

But might not work for others will a shitty immune system

Some years, I haven't gotten a flu shot and some years I have. Since having a child, I have gotten one every year, just in case. (1/2)

I am not going to take the risk to passing a full on flu, to my son.

Yes, unfortunately the flu shot does not protect the person who gets it...only other people who might be exposed to symptoms.

Not entirely accurate according the cad. A flu shot will not prevent the virus from living on my skin where it can for around 24 hours

CDC.
