Mysterious bricks on The Great Pyramid

Hello again! About two thirds the way up the Great Pyramid, on the west face, there are a few mysterious patches of brick work.

I found zero references to them, so asked around and got some theories. Some, including the YouTuber Night Scarab suggested that they were just repairs, filling in holes from erosion or damage. Seems unlikely to me considering there’s plenty of missing stones further down, surely you’d start repairing the bottom first.

I considered invasive burials, but powerful people wouldn’t want to be put so far out of the way, and it’s a huge job. I see about 5000 pounds of brick and it’s 100m up.

A redditer joked there is a heart container behind it. Funnily, I think this is the right answer. Not a heart container, but a supply cache. I propose it to be an Ottoman weapons cache, hidden while retreating during their battle against Napolean. Intended to be retrieved during insurrection, but never claimed.

That’s why it’s disguised, high up, and on the side facing away from Cairo. It’s meant to be found only by those who know where to look.
