First configuration fire rate, relatively slow

Second configuration fire rate, noticably faster, but why?

First configuration (slow) (notice the locations of the "add mana" and "chainsaw" spells in the first wand)

Second configuration (fast) (notice the locations of the "add mana" and "chainsaw" spells in the first wand)

I don't get it, why would the second spell configuration fire faster than the first? They're both showing all the same spells in the backwall

there was a setup which allowed even faster shooting (might be patched now). if you have the mana for it the DPS gets crazy

You mean by reducing cast- and recharge time futher? That would be my next step yea, right now I just want to understand why this difference

i think the stop-animation of the spells are also important. like a backswing you want to keep short
