A few years ago we found a litter of raccoons living in the wall of my family home. I hate raccoons but can't deny they're cute little fuckers.
Luckily we found them before they could cause too much damage. Full grown raccoons can destroy insulation, a/c vents and wires.
Their mother was caught, killed and later eaten by some hungry cajuns, but these babies were given to a man who cares for them and then releases them back into the wild. We didn't know there were babies in the wall until after the mother was killed, if we would have known we would have saved the mom too.

when you live on the bayou you don't want them as pets, we know how horrible they really are.

We have tons of them here in NC. They can be annoying but not horrible.

you've never seen them eating kittens or breaking into a house and causing thousands in damages, i guess.

Well they are mostly scavengers but will take an easy meal. Kittens would be a very easy meal. I can't hate them for that.
