It my cakeday so i share this worry I have.

China has been eyeballing and been very aggressive towards anyone dealing with Taiwan.

Europe has felt the burn of being reliant on "Cheap" resources from Russia and invested less in its own.
The entire world moved factories to china... if china starts shit they can stop the factories. ?‍♂️
Yes it would hurt them slightly, but they can still produce for themselves...

Just my worry that in 2 years or so we will end up in this situation.

Then I'd point out that China needs US money more than the US needs Chinese junk. The sanctions we put on Russia would destroy China.

advantageous for chip manufacturers to build in the US and pull production back domestically.

Stock that they combine stock from US domestic manufacturing and EU based manufacturing.

I think they are tying to decide if it’s worth countries pulling their factory interests out of China. Bring back domestic production.

It’s already been coming back this sentiment is dated and many who are not involved in supply chains over estimate our reliance. Things 1/

I'd say capitalism is entirely to blame for this and we've been betrayed by its false promises of plenty into enabling genocide.

I blame globalization more than capitalism. But I blame Russia and China specifically more than I blame globalization.

Yup you basically move money out of the country (producing outsided) to sell it to the domestic market.

What alternative would you suggest

dont ask him that, it would require more of them than spouting bumper sticker politics.

If you don't like bumper-sticker politics, maybe don't spend time on a site with a 140-character limit.
