No state can leave the USA w/o approval of 2/3rd of the other states & 3/4 of the house.
This is never going to happen for either red or blue states who want to (i.e. tx who brigns it up all time). Nor would YOU want CA to leave...lose CA and you'd never have a blue gov again as you'd lose massive amount of your electoral votes that go blue more than red. (same reason R's wont ever let tx leave as it holds that many votes)

If he wants everyone to stand up against Trump why doesn't he start with using his own police force to prevent federal interference? The people of California would fight with them and he'd have a unified California. And then next election campaign ads will run saying the dems destroyed the dem states,,so don't reelect them. States can't run a deficit, but fed can. So trump is cutting off fema, ed, and other support, and now causing crises that will cost states money to deal with.
