It’s donald trump

No. Just no. He is orange anyways so he is disqualified.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's orange, who's the biggest drunk we know? That'll turn you yellow.

You forgot Morris the cat.

No Emmet? Everything's not awesome then ☹

Woodstock should be 60s. I can't think of any character for the 70s... v

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

Earlier dude said it. Woodstock didn't get a name and become distinct until 1970.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All the best characters are yellow and that's why it's my favorite color.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahem..

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 7

That's not a 20's character

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I mean, undoubtedly it got popular in the 20s. Technically Bart Simpson isn't a 90s, and SpongeBob isn't a 2000s character either.

Hahah my dad thought he was called Duckmantin, and now thats all i cant think about when i see anything duckman related

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Simba and Winnie the Pooh are only yellow if you stretch the definition very, very far.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

The hell does that mean? They look pretty yellow

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

In the posted picture, yeah, because their colors were adjusted there. But in the original, they are very far from yellow.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Far from yellow? You posted pictures of two very yellow characters. What do you call it if not yellow?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Simba is orange pepper and pooh is butterscoth.

I thought the red one was the mascot.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nah, the stereotypical among us guy is red (and is sus)

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Among Us is from the 10s

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And spongebob is from the 1990s, Bart Simpson is from the 1980s, woodstock is from the 1960s, and this post/my comment is already two months old

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

*sigh* why do I have to be the one to do it

2 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 3

Saved. Don't @ me.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

because I never figured out how to put images in replies

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

When replying (on mobile) in the bottom bar where you press send on the right side you will see some other buttons on the left side. You can add gifs, favourites and images. The databae isnt perfect though.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As an analyst, databae is the perfect word. Stealing it.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

When you love data so much

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bart debuted in the 1980's and SpongeBob debuted in the 1990's.

2 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 18

Need to fudge the details to fit the characters into this forced meme.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

The Simpsons as a show began December 1989. Barely 80s. Even as a Tracy Ullman skit they began 1987.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Doesn't matter. It says "rise", not "debut". It's not about when he was born, but about when he became successful, so to speak.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

but they had their high recognition/impact on the correct decades. be sure to correct everything else on the internet before you turn off the lights.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Bart wasnt a cultural zeitgeist in the 80s, nor spongebob in the 90s

2 years ago | Likes 101 Dislikes 6

Zeitgeist isn't something you are, it's something to be a part of, so he may not have been in the zeitgeist, but he sure as hell wasn't a zeitgeist lol.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

this guy gets it...

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

2 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 2

Because the premise indicates we should already know the yellow guy of the 2020s

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No idea. I'm with you on both accounts.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I like how it was the last year for both of them though 89 and 99

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Bart first appeared on The Tracey Ullman Show in 1987. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Night_%28The_Simpsons%29

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Might as well say Bird Bird was the 60s (sesame street debuted 1969)

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Stands to reason then that this decade’s yellow guy will appear in 2029

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Or that he already arrived in 2019

Pikachu is every decades yellow guy

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I was gonna suggest this, as a person who doesn't have any interest in Pokemon, I've seen Pikachu around everywhere and quite consistently since it became a thing. While the Simpsons sort of lost their real effect some time in the noughties.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Whereas Pokemon actually got really popular with the naughties *cough*gardevoir34

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh well Pikachu definitely wins over SpongeBob I reckon. And again, I personally prefer SpongeBob.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where's Roobarb?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Haven't known SpongeBob, it was part of the paying channels. My 2000s yellow guy was Pikachu

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Pikachu dominates all of time

HAVE YOU CHECKED YOUR BUTTHOLE?? SKIDDAP, BADDAP, BUTTHOLE!

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Doesn't hold candle to the global cultural impact of the Simpsons

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 24

Plenty even estimate that The Simpsons franchise has a net worth of over 750 million dollars.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The PokƩmon franchise has achieved its impressive net worth of $118.5 billion

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Dude I like Simpson's 2 (when it's good anyhow) and abhor what they did to pokemon (forever 10 yrs old etc) but let's live in reality man. You could triple the Simpson's popularity and it still wouldn't be pokemon.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You sure about that? PokƩmon being the highest earning media franchise in current times?

Youre trying to have it both ways

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

And the literal mascot of Pokemon is...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Pokemon started in 1996, so you have to chose between Bart and Pikachu.

2 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

I choose you Pikachu

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, SpongeBob is '99 and PokƩmon fever would have been dominating 2000s so I'd still put Picachu and SpongeBob in the same decade

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It wasn't world-wide until '98. So, apart from one year (1999) when Pokemon was still possibly only a fad, Simpsons was more popular and Bart was the yellow guy of the 90s.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I'd firmly say Pikachu is bigger than Bart.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 7

But not in that decade

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not in the 90s.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Not in any decade before Pokemon go.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

Bart's height changes a bit, but even at the lowest official figure we see, at 3', he's still over twice as tall as an average Pikachu. And I'm pretty sure he beats the little rat in weight, too. https://www.pokemon.com/us/pokedex/pikachu

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 4

But Pikachu gan gigantamax!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but the rat can use thunderbolt.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Homer once spent hours (at least one sunset/sunrise involved) zapping himself with a high voltage power line trying to get a 6pk of duff until eventually causing a power outage and getting his beer. While that is Homer, instead of Bart, some of that electrical resistance has to be genetics right?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Simpsons started in 89 Bart can fight pac man

2 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 0

Depends on how you want to define it. The Simpsons debuted as shorts on the Tracey Ullman show in 1987. The series proper started in 1989, where they had their own 30 minute TV block.
