Considering how yellow the grass is, the city/county running that park should maybe think about doing it early morning or at night. Watering grass mid day is dumb in July and August.

I hope that is potable water

I wish I could play in sprinklers instead of working to pay bills. :(

It's no girls in white shirts during PE class, but it's cool

At the very least, it had more effect than those sprinklers are having on the grass.

The sprinklers should be run at night. Cooler night air gives water more chance to be absorbed before evaporating and water droplets will burn leaves in direct sunlight.

Clearly it's a water spaniel.

Imagine being a dog for a day. A good day for a dog. Then remembering that feeling after it's over. Maybe it would make us more depressed?

mine loves swimming but hates sprinklers and baths. Pups are silly.

Mine hate anything to do with water, but if it's raining? Sure, why not.

My dog won’t go out in the rain unless you go with him. He refuses to suffer alone

One of mine will, the other acts like she's dying if she touches a drop of water

I hope that water is potable. A lot of irrigation water isn't safe for dogs to even hold in their mouths with shortage-driven recirculation.

For the curious, it could easily be contaminated with pesticides, fertilizer, heavy metals, and/or pathogens that can infect the gums.

Also, poorly filtered grey water (waste water, run off from homes, including possibly sewage)

The local sprinklers in my local parks are NOT SAFE for drinking or getting in your mouth. Or eyes. They’re non-potable water.

This looks like a city park, not an irrigated farm field.

A lot of commercial real estate looks like this and uses non-potable water.

Where people are walking their dogs? That seems unlikely.

Always likely in the US. Anything to make money and nothing to protect anyone else.
