Russia isn't ever going to be able to recover from this war. Good.

SLAVA UKRAINI!!!! And if the orcs losses just keep mounting, then sooner or later the orc families are gonna notice. Sooner the fucking better. They did it in 1917, maybe it's time to do it again!

The US under Biden made the strategic decision to use Ukraine to stalemate, bleed Russia to eventually throw out Putin from within. Just another reprehensible power game with hapless pawns dying by the thousands for the US strategic advantage for global domination. https://kjis.org/journal/view.html https://www.americanprogress.org/aiew.html">https://kjis.org/journal/view.html https://www.americanprogre">rticle/t">iew.html">https://kjis.org/journal/view.html https://www.americanprogress.org/article/the-choice-global-domination-or-global-leadership/ https://www.hks.harvard.edu/publications/rise-and-fall-american-hegemony-wilson-trump

I know, I know....but 1.4 Million Russians dead is just...heartbreaking. I know it has to be done to defend a nation from a horrible overreach, but....

The number is wounded + killed, deaths are currently estimated at 250-320k. Not that this helps alot with the heartbreak. And I totally agree, while RU is clearly the aggressor and comits war crimes on daily basis, it is hard to see so many lifes wasted or impacted by loss of limbs, sanity, trauma. I think we all would prefer to see an end to this war rather sooner than later.

....wait, someone actually used the right definition of casualties? Wonders never cease. I'm so used to nobody knowing....

The number is so shocking that it not comes to mind immediately what it actually means. It goes beyond normal comprehension and is hard to relate to for anyone who has not experienced WW2 or the wars before that..the wars of the last 40 years look so different.

You know as a veteran with aspergers this is becoming painful to watch due to the absolute and total absence of tactical or strategic logic to it all.

What can Putin achieve, I mean really, they stopped gaining ground both in a literal battlefield sense and in the broader industrial and technological battle a while ago now.

They have ofc the option of using more extreme munitions but clearly hes afraid of what happens if he does or he'd have done it by now. Every passing month their economy 1/

The only thing keeping the Russian economy going at all, is the enormous amount of money pumped into the war. If they stop that, it's over.

Contracts a little, and yeah its only a little but its been going on so long now that even if something groundbreaking like that new Siberian pipeline to China was to suddenly get the go-ahead they arent going to regain the ground they lost whilst still hemorrhaging.

Like, the largest formation i have ever led into combat is a platoon, so I dont pretend to be an expert in how to run a national war effort, but if you are losing militarily, losing economically and losing scientifically then 2/

You've lost. It feels like a sunk cost fallacy now, they started out with an advantage and they've wasted it. If Russia began at 150% and Ukraine at 100% then right now Ukraines at about 65% and Russias at 55-60 max.

I get thats humiliating but its not gonna get any less humiliating. It reminds me of the last war of the Tsars, and I dont mean WW1 because that was more a war of alliances. The Russo-Japanese war, the Russians should have just taken peace after the fall of port Arthur, it was 3/

Only ever going to get more humiliating and damaging from there, but they still decided to hurl the rest of their fleet into the abyss at Tsushima.

Something that the Russian navy has literally never recovered from. 4
