This is NOT a president. This is a JOKE on the American people. A culling of the political parties is at hand.Take heed dark money. It's soon gonna be NOT DARK because of A. I. and you know it.
Ive heard magats that call themselves catholic say shit like "we dont agree with this pope" so i tell them thats heretical and used to be an almost certain death sentence and that they chose the religion where the pope is the voice of God on earth. they dont get to disagree and stay Catholic, there are plenty of Christian churchesthey could join and not be at odds with their own beliefs.
The Pope doesn't have to be strong on crime, or have good foreign policy. He's a religious leader, not the leader of a country. The Pope's attitude is basically "people shouldn't do bad things", a concept Trump clearly disagrees with.
Euh the Vatican is a sovereign nation with an army. He's very much a political leader. But crime in the Vatican is pretty low, no need to be stronger on it though he has continued the anti corruption practices of his predecessor.
Plus the catholic church was explicitly asking people to get vaccinated, because at least for them, when they say that life is sacred, it goes beyond the abortion.
So what I gather from this is that the new distraction is criticizing and attacking the pope. To distract from both how badly he's fucked up handling Iran and that he helped recruit young women for Epstein.
My Catholic FIL still thinks Republicans think of Catholics as Christians. IDK about anyone else but I remember being taught that Martin Luther translated the bible against the wishes of the Catholic church and the devil appeared to stop him from translating and he threw an inkwell at the devil and missed. So the Catholics and the Devil were on the same side in the matter. I was taught that in friggen Sunday School.
Could it be, bare with me,that maybe this was ment metaphorically? He translated the Catholic bible to German. Made public that there where no references to payment for sin's, and thus slain the devil ("thou shalt not covet") with ink? My guess is the Catholic and Protestant are on the same page about the devil. But the sale of indulgence at that time was the difference. But who am I?
Anti-Catholicism used to be a huge thing in the US. Some of it was based on the same religious wars that were going on in Europe. But also a lot of it was based on regular nativism/xenophobia: The established British colonists didn't like the Catholic immigrants coming from Ireland, Poland, etc.
John F. Kennedy was the first Catholic US president and that was a big deal even in 1960. A common anti-Kennedy line was that as a Catholic he would be more loyal to the Pope then to the US.
Probably cause all the shitty fakes are already loyal. Anyone who actually tries to follow the ideals of love, kindness, and mercy are fucking disgusted by him.
They don't believe in the Pope. Just their little home town cults.
They're either Catholics and lean lefty and already weren't voting for Trump so it doesn't matter, or they're trad caths who were already christian nationalist nutjob psychopaths who are already invested in MAGA and already favored Trump over the pope. Nothing changes.
Catholics in general aren’t as glued to their beliefs as some other Christian faiths, but they do tend to be one-issue voters. It has less to do with them supporting Trump specifically than them being hard line anti-abortion voters. Evangelicals, on the other hand, are a bunch of fucking morons who worship Trump and take the entire Bible literally. Which is ironic, because they basically get the entire message wrong. I know plenty of both. Catholics are conservative. Evangelicals are MAGA.
The Pope is the direct link to God for Catholics, the last Pope excommunicated (used his divine right as pope to decide a person is going to hell) two significant American Catholic bishops for being Pro-Trump and said something like you can never support a rapist and not expect hell.
Trump supporters, buy the better defining line is Creationists, Catholics typically are taught that the mysteries of God exist in the mysteries of science, that one Catholic SCOTUS judge is full on believing Adam and Eve did it though.
The church canon is very explicit in accepting the Big Bang and evolution theories, mainly because they had a very active contribution on them. A catholic priest was the one to formulize the mechanics of big bang and another discovered the genetic laws of inheritance.

Does the dumbfuck think that the Pope is suddenly going to go all 'Gandhi' when it comes to nukes (IYKYK)?
Marsupialmessiah
This guy even aware he is the one that allowed "christian services " ? Or did anyone forget he was president during the covid years?

What is kind of wild about that is the Catholic church has plague protocols so during Covid they just enacted those and carried on.

This is just what I was taught it sunday school and I'm guessing others too. You can't expect much deep thinking about it in a church.

Pope Leo has the opportunity to do something funny here. Declare the president a heretic, and excommunicate the vp.

Another thing he could do is hold formal meetings with Obama and/or Biden while continuing to refuse to meet with Trump.

Not sure how pissing off US Catholics is going to help Republicans in the midterms, but hey shoot your shot, Donnie.
