Hannah the Husky

This is Hannah

Whenever I got home, she was always there to greet my by the door. As soon as I come in, she would always invite me to play. Out of excitement, she would run around the house, knocking stuff over.

She was a really happy dog

Here she is in our veterinary pharmacology class. Don't worry, we just gave her probiotics and cleaned her ears that day.

On her birthday

We gave her a spongecake for her special day. When she wants something, she knew how to behave.

But when she wanted something and I wasn't there, she would take the opportunity.

Just got up to go to the bathroom. She was a quick one.

She liked people food

Begging for pizza

She was also a goofball

She always liked sleeping like this. No ounce of modesty in her body.

Here she is a day before she would deliver her pups

The next day, she climbed on my bed to give birth to her litter. Delivered all of them myself.

After giving birth

She was still a goof

She was quite the little rascal

The dog pretended she did nothing wrong.

Hannah caught in the act

She destroyed the screen of my window out of boredom. Here is her "ashamed look"

Lost her a year ago today.

My mother and I attended my gf's graduation. When we got home, Hannah wasn't there to greet me. Tried calling calling, she wasn't coming. She would never come again.

When I got to my room, I saw her. Lifeless. She had her head stuck in a modified plastic bottle my mom used to scoop water. She also tipped the chair in the previous image. She was trying so hard to escape.

Used all my strength to lift the container and remove her head. She fell, along with her red squeeky toy that we used for fetch. It was at this point my heart broke. She was trying to retrieve her toy. Lost her life in the process.

Tried giving her CPR but her legs were already stiff from rigor mortis.

This was my fault. I'm sorry, Hannah. I still love you and think of you always.

For anyone who reads this, if you haven't dog-proofed your home, please do. I don't want anyone losing their pets through their irresponsibility like me.

I'm so sorry for your loss OP. To me a dog isn't a pet, it's a family member. I'm now going to hug my dog.
