It really doesn't seem worth it to the victim. What do they really get out of it at the end of the day? Relief? No, just more fear. Fun.

In a lot of cases, rape is hard to charge in court as it's almost entirely "he said/she said" and with little evidence either way.

So then victims feel like they face their attacker for nothing, and the "system fails them"

But on the other side, it can ruin reputations, either you're accused and found not guilty, at which point it's hard to remove that stain

Or, you end up being the person who made an accusation and it failed, leading to "liar" "attention seeker" labels. It's hard to win.
