As an analytical chemist... I have never used one of these. Probably very handy for organic synthesis.

What % of medications could you make? 10% without special licenses? Do you just look up the CAS#?

Most medications are complex molecules that require a lot of work to make. Not easy to do in a home lab.

There is a list of WHO 100 most critical medications. There are strictly defined procedures on how to make each one. It is no secret.

If a medication costs $5000 in USA, but only 30 cents to make and you lived there, would you make it yourself? What would happen if caught?

When I say strictly defined procedures, 90% of that is quality control and testing. 1/2

Even if the raw ingredients cost 30 cents you will not be able to guarantee the required quality without a team of PhD's and engineers.

Hypothetically speaking and you only used the medication for yourself.

The yield on most scratch built synthesis sucks! The more complex the synthesis the more it sucks. ChemEng != Chemistry
