Switching to windows

I've had macs since they first put intel inside them. My Macbook air is almost 6 years old. But tbh I have no drive to buy a new one. I've been looking at the surface pros. But I think I need a real laptop. Most times my Macbook is perched over the arm of the couch. I've loved the looks of the new surface laptop. But not sure if it's my best option.

I started looking into the Dell xps, hp spectre and a few asus models. I wish you could take one home and use it for a few weeks haha.

I guess what I'm asking. Has anyone switched from Mac to windows and found a Macbook air like device they loved? Even if you're an apple hater and you love sleek touch screen laptops. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
