I Am Making A Thing

It is gunna be a DnD spell book. I totally got the idea from another user but I did put my own twist on it. It is for my SO's Christmas present as I do not play... yet.

The top is 4 straps and decorative leather glued to a board that fits just inside the base.

I glued the buckles on the long side 2 on each side.

The base is a box I found that I thought give it the perfect mountain man wizard look. He loves the outdoors.

Beads for the counter

How I plan to put the wire in.

I am going to use eye screws to tie the wire in.

I will put 3-4 rows of beads in for the counter.
