I think I need a career change but no idea what to change to.
Have a degree in engineering (manufacturing) but I'm just not enjoying being sat at a desk 9 hours a day staring into a screen every single day.
I need to get out and into a customer facing role, meeting and managing people, something different every day and interesting but no idea what role is suitable or what direction to go down for fear of messing it up!
Have sales experience but I think Project Management is where I need to be.

I've done physical labour, rewarding alright but I might feel that I'd be wasting my hard earned education.

Oh and by customers I mean business customers opposed to the general public - sod retail work. Been there done that too.

Quality Engineer/Manager, a lot of dealing directly with customers, internal/external audits, and travel if you're into that sort of thing.

I like the sound of that. Now i just need to magic the required 2-3 years experience in a similar role in order to apply for that position.

As a manuf. engineer shouldn't be difficult to slip into the role, in many cases it's preferred a candidate has strong Eng/Manu experience.
