That's the only time I recall spotting Gilligan off island (save in the intro credits)

It’s on Prime right now. Watching Donnie chase the uncatchable Thalia.

Almost all of television was mindless dreck back then. Still is.

And looking at most of the current cable - shows... nothing has changed!

Was encouraged to read. English TV Shows worth watching in the 50s and early 60s were few and far between...Doctor Who, Dixon of Dock Green, The Avengers and The Saint were the most memorable.

Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, The Quatermass Experiment, also, for me, Danger Man

of those, I'd pick Danger Man.

back in the day when you wore a suit and tie to class.

Now it's pajamas and slippers.

Maybe find a happy medium?

This my be the old man in me speaking, but I don't understand the whole going out in public in your pj's thing. And I never will.

"out in public clothes" and "not in public clothes" and I refuse to wear PJs or sweats or whatnot in public. Now I WILL wear the same pair of jeans and sweater every time I go outside for 3 years in a row, but at least they're proper clothes.

I went to Bible college from 1988-1992 (I went on to become an army chaplain..anyway..) I had to wear a tie every. day. of class. every. day. after I graduated I threw away all of my ties.

Yeah a tie is too much for every day. Who wants to wear that much clothing to class?

a couple years later I went to seminary and they didn't give a crap about ties. They were remarkable.

If you just wear a tie, it's really not that much clothing
