Military memes are always so cringey

Yeah, guns, badass, kill, violence, grenadecock. Cool stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 9

JFC I'm seeing a lot of hate towards US Vets! SMH

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 is a photo from David Levinthal. He photographs small figurines to make them look life size. They are about 2" tall. ;)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#1 is a close up of some plastic toys.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Man, those G.I. Joe's in the very first pic are touching...

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

The native paint are actually natives in an airborne unit...grandpa was one of the natives but not in the pic

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought all the pathfinders did that stuff. Cool.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get fucked

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 10

Haha killing civilians and POW's so funny.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The shit about heavenly angels.. damn.. fired me up

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

yeh must of been a girl in the Vietnam village of My Lai https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Lai_Massacre

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Does Hambo even fit in the Humvee?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I used to play OPFOR, we would always snipe the Hambo and let his buddies deal with dragging him off. Felt bad, but it was funny.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha for fuck sake. The first picture is of toy soldiers. You'd know that too if you didn't just mass repost shit you fool.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't frog men come about in Vietnam?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

frogmen were born from UDT underwater demolition teams in WW2, used to recon and clear beaches of items for invasions

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Both. Frog men were though by the British in ww2.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You stand corrected. Give me fifty...Now, slimeball!!!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

"Like a Native American warrior" I'm fairly sure those are actual Native Americans in WWII, likely Navajo

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why would a Navajo shave his head in a Mohawk? In any event, I think those are the pathfinders who went in ahead of the airborne divisions.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

why would you be carrying a grenade on you if you're in a sub?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Took way too long of scrolling to find this question

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What's dat propaganda shit?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

#7 I think you'll find the way to pronounce that is "Acceptable Casualties"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Really I thought it was called "war crimes"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#4 just be careful not to silhouette yourself

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

1st rule of actual veterans... don't claim to speak for all veterans.

9 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 11

I think I can speak for all veterans when I say your rules are flawed.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Do you speak for all veterans when you say that's their 1st rule?

9 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 3

Holy fuck. Kill confirmed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

totally bungled that one.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That angel shit could be in a cringe dump about obnoxious mil fanboys/girls... Oh wait, this is a cringe dump, isn't it?

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 26

All I could think was 'Aaaand now her family's dead'

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Big times

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

#1 Me- "It's only a model". OP- "shhhh!".

9 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

Me:HOLY SHIT,QHO MADE THAT MODEL!?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OP is a bundle of sticks

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So he's mighty and strong then...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You thought i would not find you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Combat veterans* I was a desk jockey. My weapon was PowerPoint.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I want that life.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Y'all know that first image is posed dolls, right?

9 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 8

That's some damn fine miniature work then

#1

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm going to be honest, I made this comment so I could click it without scrolling back up. Normally I wouldn't clarify, I just don't want 1

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Anyone to mistakenly think I care about them. I don't even know if you exist outside of my imagination. 2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

+1 for brutal honesty

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but dolls, at war..!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What god damn hero!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I fuckin die every-time i see that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So are the grenades pre-built into the frogmen's underwear, or do they have to earn them through feats of bromance?

9 years ago | Likes 239 Dislikes 5

Actually, either the dating or title of that picture is wrong. Frogmen is another name for SEALs, who weren't established until 1962. TMUK

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 17

Were chinstraps issued in to the Navy in WWII?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm just mystified about carrying a grenade around on a submarine. Stow that in a weapons locker ya knob.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

You probably ride a fucking desk. Ya knob.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Okay, killer, drawing from your non-desk experiences with submarines, lets hear your "Why unsecured explosive ordnance on subs is no biggie"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it is the soviets. They weren't known for their safety protocols

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Those guys were UDT on the USS Burrfish (SS-312). https://www.archives.gov/files/publications/prologue/2015/winter/bakuhatai.pdf

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 drives me up a wall. It's prevents any sort of logical discussion of the military without it immediately turning into "hero hate"

9 years ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 5

In my experience it is almost always older men who never served. Like 99% of the time.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Particularly tone deaf to include it so soon after this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-38808631 Little girl musta prayed wrong

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

God likes to hurl lightning bolts into the abyss. Sometimes he misses...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First thing I thought of. this also proves how BS #7 is

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You generally want to pray for America to take out the evil you don't live with. She did it very wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

#2 maximum cringe (not to mention super duper wrong)

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 6

It's something my uber Republican Trump supporting parents would say.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Yeah, like fuck those guys for wanting to avoid killing civilians in a country were winning hearts and minds is a major goal.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Please open a newspaper once in a while

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And see what? How killing civilians runs directly against the over all goal of the occupation of Iraq?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I dont actually understandf the joke?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's not a joke it's just dumb.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

whats the dumb joke?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Girl wants some "angel" to save her from "evil". Soldier says he'll be there in 2 minutes. Meaning the soldier is the evil-vanquishing angel

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but this isn't true? isn't he likely to save her? is it about the exaggerated egos of the americans

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

90% of the United States military is support. I spent 14 months in Iraq and was annoyed with my weapon because I had to carry it.

9 years ago | Likes 346 Dislikes 4

Could've joined the infantry and then you wouldn't have had that problem.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 12

My wife was 88 mike. Didn't stop her from having to pick her friend's fingers out of the sand after a rollover accident.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 6

...Anyone else read this and think it was some kind of League of Legends joke? Just me? ok

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was fire support in OIF1, it was glorious. Then we dismounted, patrolled and found a beer factory!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should have been a tanker, our weapon's carry us

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I was wrecker operator. My NCOs hated me so I had to haul a m249 out with me to hook up blown up stuff. I hated that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't come in here with your facts and truth.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

12N construction engineer. Did route clearance and saw some serious shit. All depends on how your unit wants to use you.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

All engineers are clearance. All the time.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would've been nice to know that before getting into that mess.

That's very true. But IEDs are IEDs and will find you because humans make mistakes.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was support in the Marines. On deployment, my rifle got used more than my skills.

9 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 2

What about your rifle skills?

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Close combat, I don't think I ever lined a shot up.

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 1

You don't need to be accurate if you're close enough to not miss :D

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I was trained in close combat drills, it's all muscle memory. If you can hit a torso target at 25 yards from the hip, you pass.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

The heck kind of support? I know "every marine is a rifleman" but dang!

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

SatCon. I setup the mobile sat gear. Takes about 2 days. The rest of the deployment, if I did my job right, I never touch it.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Depending on timeframe and location, I may have been your D/E, unless you were just shooting to an RHN.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, so they send you out on patrols and whatnot? (Doing a military type writing project so user experiences are quite handy)
