Found thrifting... need help identifying

Jun 30, 2022 7:17 PM

Found this at an antique store right next to one of those cheap Walmart Trilbys, and I recognized it for what it was (obviously), a Stetson. It was for sale for 8$.
As you can see it isn't in the best condition; the feather is fucked, it has lost some of its shape and is worn out a bit.
The problem I am having is trying to identify which stetson it is.

The size

Cat tax (partial)

This is the big problem, the tag with the information about it has been ripped off. Been trying to find a match online and failing.

Another pic of the lining

Cat tax (full) she was helping me with this.

Main reason I am using imgur is that I don't have much experience with using forums, but if imgur fails I will try.

There's possibly a hat expert browsing user sub this very moment, but they're also probably a mod in a hat specific subreddit...

Hey, I submitted an old photograph some time back wondering who was in it... and imgur nailed it.

This place is definitely crawling with experts in wildly hyper specific things. I'm interested in seeing how this unfolds
