The obvious reason(s) my comics aren't 3D

When I first started making my comics, I wanted a simple character design that could be either easily replicated over and over by hand, or something I could essentially just copy and paste most of the time so the sizes don't change too much (I usually copy and paste). I use MS Paint 3D, so something too complex that would involve layers would probably make me rage.

Today, I figured: "Hey, Bernard (the main character of my comics for those who don't know) is a simple character, pretty much a ball with a face and limbs...I bet I could EASILY make that 3D!"

Holy FUCK was I wrong.

Either way, I kind of accomplished something today, so whatever. Here's a few different views of 3D Bernard:

Side view #1 (dunno what happened to the other arm, it just vanished when I turned the model around, also yes I know the feet look weird)

Side view #2 (yes the face is just kinda painted on, if you think I'm doing 3D facial features you're out of your goddamn mind)

Back view

The separated pieces of this abomination (look I don't know why the proportions aren't equal)

Holy shit. If I ever do 3D models of the other, more complex characters, I'm just gonna open the 3D library and search for a model, then slap those facial features on there. Because if you think I'm gonna try making a cloud model all by myself, you are, once again, goddamn out of your mind.

That’s what my friends who did computer graphics and game design as a major felt when doing any assignments in 3D lol

Oh gosh I have such respect for Disney/Pixar animators now, or just 3D animators in general
