I aspire to walk/run/jog each day for the duration of 10 songs on my pandora shuffled stations. Variability of song style and length appeals to something in me that works. I achieve my goal most days, but not all, and I aim for at least 5 out of 7 days in a week.
Today I achieved 10 songs. I don't go fast but I do go forward.
Today’s trek highlight is Bandoliers by Them Crooked Vultures.

Lower back injury in my early 20s means I gotta do low impact stuff right, so I'm 44 now and have been keeping the lbs off with walking. I'd suggest finding a genre of books you like, good long stories with multiple books are generally great. I can help you "get them" if buying a bunch of audible books sounds expensive. Music is great but you can get LOST in a good book and find 5k more steps on your walk than you thought.

I suggest anything by Joe Ambercrombie, Robin Hobbs library is deep, that weird mormon wrote some amazing books in the Enders game series but just remember to check if the series is finished or not. Scott Lynch is a bastard man, George RR Martin is a bastard man, Patrick Rothfuss is a bastard man...
