I tape this same image to my students’ desks, penalize basic ass word choice, and go back to snoozin.

This is how that lady wrote Twilight.

A psychologist gave me this chart. It's a wonderful way to visualize where your feelings stand

Problem is, no room for things like "distraught"; sad, scared and a little angry.

Needs more dimensions - a sphere!

Dunno mate, it's usually pretty obvious when a book has been written by a thesaurus.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The thing is its not all synonyms its degrees. IE bitter is not the same as furious. and in general just mad doesn't do the job.

So inside out will have one more character coming in the sequels. Surprise

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

My first thought wandered to Inside Out too. Imagine the branches being kids of original five emotions.

This is also really good to place somewhere for kids to see so they can learn different words to express how they feel.

Signed...Baby Kangaroo Tribiani.

...many of these are not synonyms

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They’re not necessarily supposed to be synonyms but words that are related regarding emotional states

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the whole point.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I read a lot. Ive been reading a book where every other sentence has an intense vocab word I have to look up bc it's confusing even w/ ~

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Context clues. while it's good to use better words than the most simple words, you don't need to change every single word you can. Opinion

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

i agree whole heatedly, however that's not the case with this chat. a few are obscure but they are not synonyms.

As an illustrator this could help with creating a character?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just don't replace a word, mean it.

Interestyng why boredom is labeled under sadness...

Wow, Pixar left out some characters.

Gets smaller and harder to read every time.

Proud = Important, Confident?

"As a writer" I find usually means "As someone who has tried to write a book, but is absolutely shit at it, and will never be published".

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or just use a thesaurus.

People often post writing advice on Imgur, but never the kind that actual writers use. This is a therapy emotion wheel, not a synonym chart.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow there are more negative emotions than there is positive on that chart

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Intrepid!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m distraught because the words don’t face the same direction around the wheel.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Does anyone else find it unfortunate that only happy and half of surprise are positive emotions?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People have way too much time on their hands

You mean to repost with identical titles? I doubt @OP is a writer. This title accompanies this image every repost without fail.

Ha. I had no idea this could be done. I upvoted the post, the original comment, and this reply.

It might be because that picture is a link to a picture posted before.

Good stuff. Now can you do one that’s got all the text oriented in the same direction, so that you can use it spun on a drawing pin?

My thought exactly.
