I know the first one is supposed to be ha-ha funny, but it's actually true in the mountains. Somedays are fucked weather-wise and if you're hearing thunder before you start an ascent, don't. Smart mountaineers know when to turn around and go home - the mountain will still be there tomorrow.

Totally agree and you don’t want to be on top when the storm or lightning hits. I also like the first one because it kind of applies to any day/life in general. If you’re struggling with some thing, maybe just give yourself a break and try again later/the next day.
