Netanyahu and Putin trade ownership every other week of the U.S. Turpentine Tyrant

I think the aspect that people on both the left and right often don't get is that Trump is so stupid and easy to manipulate Putin didn't need to actually conspire with him.

And... any consequences? No? Then what's new? Nothing.

If only MAGA could read.
Thorketil
If MAGA could even be reached with objectivity, which isn't the case. They feel reality. They don't want to know anything about it.

Well he did promise to prove that the election was rigged, so in a odd way he did come true on that part.
LunarEntropy
From his point of view he cheated soo hard and lost in 2020 that the only way it's possible is if the other side cheated even harder.

Invoke the 25th already. Otherwise we are ALL going to think we have dementia.
Psionickitten
I mean, he gloated about rrigging the 2024 election 3 times on camera and he's still in the White house so it's not like giving actual proof is gonna change anything when the ones with the legal power to remove him from office are corrupt bootlickers.
FlaminkoFactor
What's scary is that the Magas don't even feel have the capacity and/or willingness to fact check or read anything more than Facebook memes. Trump is priming his base (including propagandist media outlets like Fox) to accept his forthcoming denial of midterm election results. Nevermind that this is based on an unsubstantiated claims, spin/cherry picking, and, most of all, lies. Mr. "I need 11,000 votes, give me a break" should be in prison. Instead, he's more emboldened and corrupt than ever.

Sooooo whats gonna happen now

Mueller knew he was right, but he did a horrible job explaining that on national television. Bill Barr added to the doubt when he released the memo basically lying that Mueller hadn't uncovered anything. Iirc a lot of the theory rests on a closed door, unrecorded meeting which took place between Russian diplomats and the Trump boys leading up to the 2016 election.
catsofat
I remember watching a news story during the 2016 election where they showed piles of Russian guys in cramped little apartments in russia being online just to stoke up right wingers. Why are people still acting like this is newly found info??? When we've known for a decade now???

In trying to prove that a conspiracy of his enemies cheated to make him lose, mostly because he can't handle the idea of legitimately not winning, he ended up proving that a hostile dictator interfered with American elections to get him into power in the first place. Talk about playing yourself.

And confirmed that investigations had confirmed this.

It had been.

All he had to do was read those documents himself to confirm they say what he was told they say, but he didn't.

WE ALREADY KNOW! what do you people get from stating the obvious over and over again with no consequences for years? oh right...the mid terms will fix everything
MassiveCollisionY
The midterms will be a huge point in history, no matter what happens. Thats the one thing we can be sure about...
LuLuPennyAndOdium44
This time Trump said it.
Frankasti
IMHO, hammering the fact that Democrats are not doing anything over and over is propaganda. For starters they can't do anything as the opposition. Telling the American people what is happening by writing letters and articles is pretty much the best they can do. And as long as the US is convinced that it's a politician's job to stop fascism, they will see letters begging them to do something about tyrants as low effort attempts instead of a call to action like it is.
SquaresUnfiltered
That's the thing, that's not true. When you look at leaders like Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries, they both said that they are not going to pursue Trump on any charges. They openly state that they want to try to get back to the status quo. These establishment Democrats are not holding their office to the accountability that they should be. They are getting rich. Most of them, if you look at their public stock options, are in the same pockets that the Republicans are.
Frankasti
They can't pursue Trump on any charges. They are politicians. They do not have power over justice and this is by design to preserve democracy. Do you think Johnson and Thune should be able to force a trial for their own political opponents, or anyone really, if they deem it necessary?
It's propaganda. Politicians cannot and shouldn't be able to press charges on each other. The corruption to save Trump did not come from Democrats, but republicans are happy to push that idea. And it works.

Not only is he monumentally stupid, he also has so many character defects that he can't get smart people to work for him to make up for his idiocy.

Easily the biggest embarrassment and source of shame I've ever felt being an American. And I grew up with George W... It's not surprising Trump exists, but I am dumbfounded and angered by how many people in this country continue to worship and empower a criminal sociopath who is devoid of decency and goodness in any form. Not a single redeemable quality to be found. And yeah, he's a complete fucking idiot to boot!

Defund education and boost religious indoctrination for 50+ years at a national level and this is what happens

PennysWorthOfTea
Do you also blame all Germans for the Nazi atrocities? Are all Spaniards to be held culpable for the genocide of the indigenous people of the Americas? Should we hate all Iraqis for the crimes of Saddam Hussein?
lucivjov
Hate? Having an opinion means I hate Americans? You must be a republican. And you can claim your political enemy is fascist, but you do have a Democrat electoral process that this guy won twice. All you do is fight amongst yourselves, and the world loses either way.
No one is saying “punish all Americans”, but blame? Yeah I think checking American privilege is a bipartisan issue.

I do believe collective punishment is considered a war crime.

From my limited outside view, there are a lot of problems with your current systems; gerrymandering, voter suppression, electoral college, rezoning, etc.
HOWEVER!
Your nation rarely ever goes above 60% turnout of voting eligible population. When nearly half of the votes go unused (and some percentage of those votes being blank as well I presume), how on EARTH are you going to enact any meaningful systematic change???
MarkTwainsMysteriousStranger
aRootinaTootin
I mean there are a lot of us trying really hard to fight the corruption, a few have even paid the ultimate price in that fight so I think it’s pretty unfair to say everyone in the US is to blame for what’s going on.
