Carole Baskin tigers, anyone?

So I'm updating my portfolio/adding a bit of my photography to keep myself busy/sane on lockdown. One of the folders that I forgot I even had was from my trip to the Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida during a visit two years ago. I decided to look up the sanctuary to make sure that I was remembering the details correctly when I saw something that made me laugh in the midst of this Tiger King madness. Who might have founded the rescue that gave me my first opportunity to see these beautiful animals up close and in person but the infamous Carole Baskin herself? For the record, I haven't actually watched the documentary yet( I've been binging on Kingdom instead because feudal era zombies seem appropriate with everything going on ), but it's next on my list!

Anyway, that new bit of information about the rescue inspired me to share my tiger(and liger) shots with the community. Some are a little repetitive(like the white tiger who just wouldn't stop yawning), but the subtle differences between them made it hard to single out one favorite.

Bap the butt.

The liger trained by Carole Baskin herself! This was actually part of the act, but it was funny enough that I felt inclined to put it in a sequence.

Isn't she lovely?

He was so not in the mood for this.

I can't

get enough

of that

freaking tongue!!!

Aren't they so cute?!

Ready and waiting.

He's still not down for this.

Look at

dem sharp

TEEF!!!

Then we got tricks.

And more tricks.

Followed by a tiger bath.

This was the male liger and he was a bigun.

Tiger sprawl.

Tiger nap.

Tiger fight!

Hugs.

If you haven't already, you really need to expand this one. The look on the face of the tiger on the bottom is priceless.

That was when she decided enough was enough--

and started laying down the law.

No more biting!

Look at those claws. Does anyone know whether this is allowed though? Standing inside the safety line/feeding the tigers by hand, even if you work there? Or does answering that include spoilers to Tiger King? Nevermind, I'll wait!

Here's our big handsome man from the show, all drooly. One last look at them teef.

Right? That was one of my first thoughts when I saw she was the founder.
