#24 adopted maybe and had a bad previous life? Have a dog here that came from the (former) rescue shysters I worked for that prefers tuna and wet cat food. This is because they like all of them pretty much hoard dogs and the problems start. When Walmart would allow them to get returns from the DC this included lots of cat food from wet to dry. As it took 400 lbs a day of food to feed all the dogs in the system, this started including wet and dry cat food. Guess what he got?>

He’ll eat dog food, but took a while to figure this out. Also he won’t eat if you are standing around and still barks now and then when you wear jeans/tshirts, which the homeless staff members wore at the in town kennel and probably suffered abuse from them which wasn’t uncommon. Owner of the kennel and “rescue” *cough* exploited homeless in the area as dirt cheap labor and didn’t care what happened to them or the animals

When we adopted Solstice she was terrified, so the next day, mom went back to adopt one of her littermates, and within a day the two were happily exploring the house together. Nowadays, Solstice is a big cuddlebug, and she's kept her sister Binx active despite Binx gaining weight after being spayed.
