Little bit of mindless fun in the shop today. The base of this axe is a colonial style axe. The eye socket wasn't correct and so the piece was technically, a failure. Buuuut Ive been going a little out of mind lately so I wasted the afternoon putting on handle on it just for fun. I should have been working.
The "gold" is bronze brazing rod. Mild steel body with a 5160 insert on the edge.
