I fear the end is nigh and we failed

I dont even think hes 10yo yet. Got the sniffles a few months ago and due to medical bureaucratic bullshit the vets didnt catch a tumor growing till it was too late

They say radiation "could" help but what are the odds on "could"? Its in his head, pushing on his brain. Hes startin to look like quasimodo. But hes still actin like my normal orange lummox.

I figure we are going to keep going with the swelling medication until it seems to start affecting him cognitively. But at what point do you say its time? This sucks so many noodles.

There are few times in life you come across an animal so special and loving as he is and for him to have been given this short stick and our inability to catch it in time is so unfair to him. Hes warm. Hes comfy. We got a close eye on him. cancer fkn sucks...

Had two dogs suddenly develop tumors. One went from fine to a last day in about 5 days. The other ... it was just slowly getting worse for months. It was so much harder.

Heart hurts watching. Be strong. We don't deserve our little ones and just love the heck out of them while we can. You convinced the Cat God, she needs an orange cat. You have done WELL

Pain is the only measure to decide what to do for it?

I mean thats the question isnt it? He doesnt seem in pain or even inconvenienced at this time. Just catting around as he always does with a closed eye and sounding like a piggy when he eats. I figure when those mannerisms change its time to make a decision. Till then ill take whatever time is left.
