Was diagnosed with Lymes disease in the beginning of January, and caught COVID on a hospital visit. It hasn’t been pleasant to be home, but I’m sure it could’ve been better

I didn't even leave the basement.

I haven't HAD covid. Last time I went further than the mailbox was before xmas.

I went out and cut the grass when I was positive back in 2020 with OG covid. Does that count?

My son caught it camping with his Boy Scout troop. I locked all of us down. He’s vaxxed so mild symptoms for only 1 day. Still locked down.

Well did you at least throw a party?

4 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

It wasnt a planned party ffs! Me and one chap planed to have a distanced pint in the gardens. Then all these other people did too!!!

Walked into an autobody shop today. No one wearing a mask but myself & my 84y/o. Asked why, “ because we are both high risk & neither has it

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

There are dozens of us. Dozens!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Currently isolating after catching it from someone at work. Sucks and I wanna go out so bad but Hulu and doordash ftw

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Real quick, you’re angry you caught covid while at the hospital? That’s the only place I’d accept people with covid going

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I hope not but it seems likely.. Thank you for doing your part through!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Just tested positive yesterday. Camping at home for the next 10 days (5 per CDC and additional 5 per work). Uber eats is gonna love me.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I got a throat tickle the night I was with a sick friend. Didn't go out once I got home, tested positive 3 days later. Isolated until better

My cousin keeps posting restaurant food pics on insta while she was COVID positive. I really despise her for that

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Currently on day 1 of quarantine... Tested positive earlier today. Thought I had strep, luckily I didn't go anywhere before urgent care.

I was quarantined on a US Navy destroyer for 6 solid months in 2020. And the quarantine started two weeks after I got married.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Holy shit.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My mom tested positive, said "Guess I'll need supplies to quarantine" and went straight to the store. -.-

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Currently isolating at home after daughter and wife caught it. Sucks but it's gotta be done.

4 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 1

Exactly. Son caught it. Isolating at home all week.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks to thems vaccines I had almost no symptoms and got an awesome 10 day staycation. 10/10 highly recommend (sarcasm, don't catch COVID)

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Me too! But I am positive. We all are down here.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My whole family is in quarantine. Fully vaxxed middle schooler brought it home. 600 teachers out in our school district this week.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Daughter tested positive, son has obvious symptoms but tests negative day after day. Don’t trust the home tests too much with omicron, folks

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We caught it way at the beginning before resourced were available. I’m a single mom. My ex made a point to say he didn’t think I had it att.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We were home for ~6 weeks straight. No one left the house except to test. 3 of 4 of us got it, no overlaps. Groceries and meds delivered.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like staying in doors ?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No, I also didn't go out when you had covid.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I honestly think that the virus makes you crave to go out and expose others. It's like that fungus that effects certain bugs. Guess just

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

trying to make illogical reasons logical in my head.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, I didn't even know that I had it. Learned it well after the fact. At least I wore a mask wherever I could.

4 years ago | Likes 240 Dislikes 5

That's a lot of words for "I went out when I had it"

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Same. I’m an RN and had terrible guilt. Felt it in the afternoon after working all day. took a test that night & neg. Pos the next AM.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Worst. I don't think there's anything you could do but masking when you think you're not sick

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Can't go out with covid if you never go out

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you find out well after the fact?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

They assumed they didn't have it and the incubation period before it showed symptoms was in that timeframe. WHICH IS WHAT MAKES IT DANGEROUS

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

WHICH IS WHY "DON'T GO OUT WHEN YOU'RE SICK" DOESN'T WORK 100% OF THE TIME.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

WHY ARE WE YELLING?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How do you find out after you've had it?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Passed it to my girlfriend and learned about it through that.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can still test positive well after you have had it. Like, weeks later.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I will add this to my anecdotal evidence, but I'ma need more anecdotes!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

About the only place you can’t wear a mask is a pool or a shower.

4 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 2

Or a red state gas station. Or restaurant. Or store. Or sidewalk…these guys get pissy anywhere…

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or when going down on your mom.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Water board yourself to own the cons!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Problem is: the more wet the air, the longer the virus lies.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

lives, not lies. Sorry.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Or a shower pool

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course not. It's just narcissism and logical fallacies that make you post things like this.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sarah Palin went to a restaurant in Manhattan two days after she was diagnosed.

4 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 2

Sarah Palin is an unpatriotic American concerned more about her own welfare than that of the nation.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It’s now more than one. Bitch needs to be arrested.

Am I the only one around here who hasn’t had Covid?

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I was good till two weeks ago. Kid brought it home from school

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I haven't caught it. I also haven't been to the grocery more than once per month for last 2 years....and always wear a mask.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe in USA, but most people around the world didn't get it.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most people on earth didn't get it, same as most people don't get the obvious.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell, I've barely gone out at all since all this shit began, which is why I (knock on wood) haven't GOTTEN Covid. Even having gotten the >

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

< vaccine and boosted, I'm still on immunosuppressant medication, so no reason whatsoever to tempt fate, imho.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Me too. Have an upvote.

Welcome to the you can never donate blood club.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

Fellow member reporting. Lymes blows

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jokes on you I was already in that club

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

I'm too gay to give blood.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I hate that so much. Also, one of the questions is “have you ever had sex with a man who has had sex with another man” even for women…

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don’t want to accidentally give them the gay right? /S

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lived in europe inthe 80s. Might pass on that Mad Cow Disease. Moooo

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was born in Europe in the 80’s so no blood donation for me

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*laughs in modern American farming disease*

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What am I missing here? You can totally donate blood after having had covid.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

They’re probably thinking they can’t after Lyme disease which you can in some places but you really really shouldn’t just in case.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You can't if you have Lyme Disease. I have Lyme and Babesiosis. They are bloodborne infections so you can't donate blood.

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

Babesiosis sounds like some cheesy line from a late 80's-early 90's movie.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Hahaha I can see that. It's pronounced bah-bay-see-oh-sis. It's a protozoa called babesia microti that lives inside red blood cells.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like the way you think.
