#49 yea, as an adult you can really see how extremely mentally unwell and dangerous he is.

Exactly. I forgot his was a violent wife beating bastard with anger issues, who was willing to hurt anyone who got in his way, before he could get to her again.

Not sure why you were down voted. Lot of weird people going around down voting anything that smacks of truth around here. It's like a giant box of incels, nazis, bots, etc just decided to plop themselves down and be asses on Imgur.

One of the few good things he did in that movie, if not the only good thing, was to kill the nazi.

#19 if she takes her music at face value, she must miss out on a lot of good music, as no art, not music, painting, or otherwise, should be taken at face value. Art has depth and meaning behind the facade, and she needs to realize that.

#26 I've heard that separate beds can save a relationship. Your partner snores, or tosses and turns, or has a wildly different sleep schedule? Same bed means you don't sleep, so you're tired and angry, which causes issues. Separate beds solves that. Better sleep = more happy = better relationship!

1 year ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 1

IDK it was the beginning of the end of mine.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did u guys not do scheduled sexy time? Or was she/he jus not into you that much n this was jus a final straw?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Separate beds in separate bedrooms exacerbated communication issues and now I have a RO against her.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m so sorry to hear that; it’s just always hard when communication breaks down. I’m in a similar situation. Separate bdrm and all. And I agree communication takes a hit like that. Were u glad that you separated? Would u do anything differently with what u know now? All the best

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looking back I feel that I was too stubborn and held onto the relationship too long. I saw my mom go through essentially her entire adulthood single and I didn't want that to happen to my ex. I very recently and very unexpectedly stumbled into a pretty nice relationship and it's so neat to feel, like, liked and wanted and missed when I am gone and appreciated when I am with her. How much BS could I have prevented if I had just let things go earlier instead of holding onto a lit matchbook, idk.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My partner and i share a bed. But we have separate top sheets and blankets. And that setup kicks ass for us because were both blanket hogs.

1 year ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

My current partner got me onto doing this and I can’t believe I went through so many years of life with shared blankets before. Total game changer. Makes everything better

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Though I’m not in a relationship at the moment, after the last one I decided that the only way to stay sane while attempting to sleep was to have separate apartments.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

My spouse and I started sleeping separately when he got his cpap machine. I move around a lot and I kept getting tangled in the hose. We have cuddles and whatnot in one another's beds, but we separate for actual sleep time. It works for us.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Horrible health issue that make you groan and moan half the night and ruins sleep schedule. Seperate sleepy area.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Considering papa bear's bed was too hard, and mama bear's bed was too soft bed, this makes sense.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They need a split king sleep number.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My parents slept in separate beds. My Dad snores, kicks, and flails around in his sleep.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I cant speak to separate beds, but i can certainly vouch for separate blankets/doona/duvet. Husband and i run at VERY different temperatures, i run freakishly cold, and my husband freakishly hot. Having one blanket just means we are both miserable. So he has his light one, i have my super thick one. Heaven.

1 year ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Same. My wife has a portable swamp cooler blowing on her side while I'm wrapped up like a burrito.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Mine and I work different shifts, no need for extra beds and bedding that way

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I absolutely agree that at least having another bed someone can move to can save a relationship.

But it is important for this particular meme to remember that sleeping in the same bed is a relatively new thing, and was quite scandalous not that long ago.

You don't have to go back far to see depictions in media of married couples in different beds as the norm. Whether they are two beds in the same room, or in separate rooms. I believe they sleep in different beds and I Love Lucy?

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

And yet morecambe and wise - two male comedians - share a bed in their show barely a decade later

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The depictions in media OG separate beds had more to do with it being considered inappropriate to show characters sharing a bed. Not that people didn’t have separate beds. Just that the Hays Code was followed by the media and briefly influenced what people thought was respectable arrangements in the 1950s.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

However, if you go back farther, it was common for an entire household (even servants) to sleep in one bed, especially in cold regions.<<

Communal sleeping was very common before the Victorian era. https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/communal-sleeping-history-sharing-bed
