@mistersavage HELL YES learning how to lathe metal and mill probably taught me more about maths than my maths teacher (now a mach eng grad!)

I got to do that for a semester helped me with fractions and such. Im not a big fan of the CnC though.

cnc is more a coding exercise, ok the lathes had digital scales so you could to and from 0 a lot.. but we learnt to do it manually too

I never used the computer on the lathe, I just did it manually

nah not so much computer, just a digital scale on the carriage, so you could zero it and run from there easy, or use the scales on wheels
