California wildflowers

I’ve been planting pollinator wildflowers from seed for several years. The bees and hummingbirds are very happy especially after such a wet winter. Happy Earth Day Imgurians! #earth_day

I get the best results by planting seeds in the Fall. Many wildflower seeds need to “winterize” by being exposed to cool temperatures and rain to maximize germination. The wildflowers in my photo were planted 4 years ago and just keep coming back like the “weeds” they are. I’m sure you will enjoy your beauties soon!

Nice! This is my first year having an area to seed. I’ve got a healthy mix of PNW native perennials, annuals, and biannual flowers. Hoping to have much the same as yours in the following years. Gotta keep the bees and birds happy!
