Louisiana's governor - the state from which the speaker for the house represents - suspended the house election by declaring the redistricting unconstitutional. As in, we can't vote him out now.

The 1920s Indiana Klan was highly influential, contributing to the election of Governor Edward Jackson in 1924. The power of the Indiana Klan collapsed around 1925–1927 following the murder conviction of Indiana Grand Dragon D.C. Stephenson.
