You're making a lot of assumptions about polls. Let's see here, Republicans tried to overthrow the US Government with multi-vector attacks. Have you looked at project 2025? They are making lists. What do you think would be an effective and innocuous appearing way of getting names of the loyal and disloyal?

As the trials progress, people who haven't been paying attention are going to start and hoo boy, white suburbanites voters do NOT like the idea of voting for a criminal.

if the polls are indeed turning around for Biden (I'm not sure they are, but regardless), then I think some of it is people going "wait, our alternative is THAT guy again? ah geez"

The polls also have been massively off in the recent years favoring the GOP because 1.) People under the age of 40 avoid talking on the phone and definitely avoid answering unknown numbers that call them 2.) online polls get an influx of trolls / bot farms. However we do know that since 2022 the GOP and Trump have been underperforming on expected outcome on polls to an average 5%-10%

Fuck the polls. And don't listen to comments that just say "Vote", either. Vote, but also ensure family and friends are voting. Phone bank for a swing state. Donate. Fuck the polls.

The guy that is president of the country is now even with the guy that is on trial for crimes. Imagine that.

Guys remember these polls are strictly drawn from a sample of people who are "willing to take a few minutes to answer a political survey". The numbers skew heavily towards old people and weirdos. Guess what most of the GOP base consists of.

It's not only that. Rural people are more likely to have landlines because they're more isolated and landlines are more reliable. So the younger/non white/etc demographics are oversampling rural members of that demographic who are more likelybto vote R than the average member of their demographic.

I'm not by any means saying: we got this, don't bother voting. I'm saying: don't let the numbers make you think that half the people in this country want trump in office, because that in itself is a disheartening thought.
