Objective truth is a tough one. Everything has a stink of judgement because we're all human; so unfortunately, we'll have to fight for the basic objective truths any way we can.
Throwing aside emotions and being "objective" doesn't stir up a crowd as much as an emotional speech, no matter what the subject. So, we have to support those who do speak up and have the charisma to lead others. Because it is a fight and this recent insurrection and the covid numbers in antimask states, has shown me that we are in a fight for the truth. Folks who spend their lives in the pursuit of knowledge and progressive growth need to be more vocal and need the support of everyone.
Recent events has also shown me that this site is full of amazing people and I'm really hopeful for our future. The spark of revolution goes both ways and I for one promise to do my best. Remembering that in order to achieve an agreement of objective truth we need to strip the arguments to the basics and grow from there.
It's a funny balance of supporting charismatic people who may sound emotional sometimes but speak truths and having personal discussions that are more carefully grounded in order to leave both parties with self respect at the end of the day.
Take care everyone, I am optimistic for our future. Let's continue to look forward and help our planet and the people and creatures on it.
