Last three years I was either at work or out of town. This time I even managed to carve a pumpkin
Update: one, there was one group of trick or treaters

Ive had two. Last year there were tons

Yeah I'm in an apartment and haven't seen any trick or treaters yet.. Kinda figured being an apartment complex and all that, we'd get a few but...
Shellonne815
I had six this year. Lowest number ever for us. Granted, we had intermittent rain during the second hour but during the first hour when it was dry we had zero kids come by. Reese's peanut butter cups galore!
tincoyote
Only had three. But it was cold windy and wet out.

We got 110 this year which is down from last year. Some streets are bumpin’ and others nada. My folks got 6.
olgreenteeth365
None again for the 3rd year running.

Someone just rang my bell with like 5 minutes to go, and it was my neighbor, and I had to be like sorry, dude, I didn't really plan for this, I have a work project I need to get done by tomorrow....let me see what I have. Found three full sized bags of sour patch jolly ranchers that I forgot I had to give to my nieces...now I need more of them for next time I see them.

I turned the wrong light switch off and didn't realize it.
mrtweeter04
Is that really that bad? If your a full bar house think of the stockpile of candy you have?
plinkey
I hand out 6" philly cheezers
mrtweeter04
Damn im jealous
plinkey
I only handed out two of them tonight, both to myself.

Haven't seen a trick-or-treater here in the last 15yrs.
If I bought candy, I'd just end up eating it all myself, so NAH. Tomorrow it'll all go on sale anyway.
Won't buy any then, either. I've developed a philosophy about candy, pastry, white sugar, sugar cereals, pancakes w/syrup, etc. : Apply directly to Dentist.
ontarioOT
They don't put them on sale as much as they used to, at least where I live.
umbrellamaker
It was already on sale on the 30th here

The only time I take advantage or something like that is after St. Patrick's day....so many cheap corned beefs in the freezer for the year.
spontaneous9
Nice tip. I haven't bought beef in so long I forget what it's like. I've been on a fish and occasional chicken diet forever. St. Pat's is a safe distance in the future. You'll have to remind me 'cuz I'll forget all about it by then. But I could definitely go for some corned beef.
IgnisInvictus
Where there always time limits on trick or treating?
Volpe42
Always around here

Most towns are like 6-8 or something like that. It's not really enforced, but it's more of a 'here's when the cops will be out monitoring busy intersections' ... ya know because of a bunch of kids walking around at night. At least that's how they do it here.
HeresYourSauce
Kids walking around at night is a risk that should be talked about more. Like seriously, be careful.
Those glow bands/glow sticks are also really cool to hand out.
plinkey
Until that one weird kid cracks it open and tries to drink it and he looks like Slimer for the rest of the night.
umbrellamaker
No but after a certain point you expect them to be in bed
IgnisInvictus
Yeah, about 9 on a school night 10 on a weekend. I've seen restrictions that start the festivities at 4 and go to 6. It ain't even dark by 6.
ontarioOT
We started ours around 6 today, and it was dark by about 6:30.
ScarecrowSticks
Must be a Lower 48 thing, here our sunset is like 17:30 or sooner. 2pm at Winter Solstice
IgnisInvictus
Oh yeah, it's a lower 48 thing.
plinkey
Yes, the earth is round.
