Three years ago I made a post about how my credit score was non-existent (I had never had a credit card or any loans ever) and I wanted to change that. Y’ALL SHOWED UP and thanks to your support, advice, and encouragement I got a secured card with NFCU (thanks Grandpa) and as of my recent one year anniversary have been upgraded from my initial $200 limit to an unsecured card with a limit of $2000!!
In this last year I feel like I’ve learned a bit about how to use my card responsibly, making sure to be at 30% utilization when my credit reports, etc…and I know know KNOW never to carry a balance past the month it’s due (aka no minimum payments). I’ve set an alarm for 180-something days from now to ask for a credit limit increase. Any other advice I would LOVE to hear. Should I apply for another card? With NFCU?
Even if no advice…mostly I just wanted to say thanks, internet space void. Things are wild lately, and both vaguely and acutely shitty. I’ll take the win, even in this fucked up system. Thank you so much for helping to make it happen, random internet strangers. Y’all are the best.

Don't stress too much about keeping that 30% utilization, just make your payments back down to 0 to actually report a monthly payment being made.
Additionally, you may want to consider a new trade line every 2-3 years just to build a portfolio of lending experience. Maybe a small personal loan to diversify your products. Ultimately, you want underwriters to loom at your report and be like, "Oh yeah this person's definitely good for it."
Congrats on your financial journey!
