Synchronized divers at La Quebrada, Acapulco Mexico

I did not expect to enjoy Acapulco as much as I am. Incredible place, just beautiful.

CORRECTION: One diver carrying two torches. I was wondering how the dove in such perfect synch šŸ˜‚

It looks like someone diving into the rocks. Took a few viewings to realize we’re looking straight down at the water, and not from the bottom of the cliff! Damn

These guys are phenomenal. There is a long culture of Quebrada Cliff divers going back to the 50s.

My hometown also has a tradition of this! It is only found in the magical place called Casa Bonita.

Yes, they are professionals, and they have a diving show every hour in the evening. Acapulco has been famous for this since the 50s. I’ll find you a link…

Btw today we went scuba diving on La Roqueta island, which I highly recommend. If you’re not a diver then snorkeling could be an option.
