Oh man.. Are you sure you have a democracy and not a zoo or clown show over there? All i see is a bunch of clowns, freaks, a geriatric orang utan and people with diarrea from all orifices.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you’re the only person fighting by the rules, you’re going to lose. Every single time.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck this entire timeline. All it took was a weasel and the hadron collider, next thing you know a gorilla gets shot, Trump gets elected, Covid, every other crazy damn thing that's been happening since, and then Trump gets elected again. And American democracy died by popular vote.
ALL. OF. MY. HATE!

Buckle up, Do you think the Republicans are going to have a filibuster rule in the US Senate?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

They got re-elected because their constituents are even dumber than they are.

I am proud to have voted against MTG.

"Despite Trump’s multiple offenses (criminal, political, and social), tens of millions voters—more than half of the electorate—said they want more of him and desire this felonious, misogynistic, racist, and seemingly cognitively challenged wannabe autocrat to lead the nation once again. Trumpism triumphed, and the godhead of this cult has become both the first fascist and the first convicted felon to win an American presidential election. /1

At this fork in the road, Americans made a decision on what sort of country the United States will be. A judgment has been reached: This is a nation to be ruled by Trump’s politics of hate. It can happen here, and it has." https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2024/11/judgement-day-for-american-democracy-trump-harris-election-2024/ /2

Thanos snapped his fingers, but instead of killing half the population, he must have killed half of the braincells of half of the american people. That's the only logical explanation.

Boebert simply changed districts to a less competive one where she was much more likely to win. It's not like she wants to represent the interests of the constituents where she lives.

2 years ago | Likes 238 Dislikes 2

What Republican does? They're not running to represent anyone, they're running to take power, end of.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought she moved into a district they hated her?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Some don’t like her here, but they hate libs more. The dem was actually a good local candidate too

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I believe that's what she did the two times before as well. Pretty much the textbook definition of 'carpetbagger.'

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

She didn't. She lived in our District 3 and represented them for just the past almost four years (although it seems so much longer). In January, she will begin representing the 4th district. Her last re-election in District 3 was razor close, and she did not want to risk losing this time.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Oh, sorry, I was thinking of MTG, not Boebert. In my defense, they are both very, very stupid.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Understandable. They are kind of interchangeable.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Hehe. Hello Canadian. I hope you’re keeping warm this Autumn. I live in Florida, and I just bought a window A/C unit to get some relief from the heat in one specific room. We don’t get sweater weather until mid December now-a-days, sadly.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The place I live bounces between -40 to +40 C, with upwards of 95% humidity. We get the misery of Florida in the summer, and the frigid hell of Alaska in the winter. Currently it's tolerable, around 5-20 depending on the time of day. The real lows don't settle in until January and February - until then it's just cold, but it isn't bitterly so.

Fun fact: Idiots like these will keep getting re-elected because their voters don't give a shit

Boebert left the district she was about to lose for an open seat in a safely red district. Marge is just in a safe red district.

That’s old news it’s called gerrymandering and stacking the courts with conservative judges

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Even with that, this feels too…perfect.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look id love to agree with you, but it was close. They were saying it was close. The polls got it right this time. He won everywhere but within a few percentage points so… 🤷🏻‍♂️ the math checks out he got the same rough amount of votes but kamala got less than biden did. our side didn’t show up because apparently they’d rather watch the world burn you at this point let them they’re not gonna escape this either

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh it doesn’t stop there. Republican controlled Supreme Court, House, Senate, and executive branch. I think people focus on Trump being president when they say we’re fucked, without realizing exactly how extremely, irreversibly, and disastrously fucked the US is.

2 years ago | Likes 284 Dislikes 0

On the upside... we still have the filibuster, I guess.

I’m planning my exit with my family

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Best of luck, and I mean that for real.
My wife and I came back to the US in 2017 to make sure we could legally immigrate her before Trump ended it. We finished it up in 2021, she’s a dual citizen now.

Looking an awful lot like we might be voluntarily moving back to Taiwan next year… Life was better there anyway.

If you’re headed in that neck of the woods let me know

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We are actually going to move to Bogota, Colombia. Her family lives there. My father is a Trump maga cunt, who went after my wife saying horrid things to her the only time I left her alone with him. My family in a nut shell. Not sure if to sell or rent the house. I’m going to leave my company running I think. We have been talking what would be the trigger. I told her when they make election integrity laws, or indicting Dems or locking up journalists. I just can’t believe it’s come down to that.

The GOP has been setting this up for at least 50 years, in plain sight.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah the Cheeto is a problem for sure, but when you look at the whole picture, its beyond terrifying. Two Supreme Court justices will retire, and he will be the first President to name 5 of them. 5 of fucking 9. With the lifetime appointments, yall will never see a Liberal SC in your lifetime again. One cannot underestimate how fucked that is.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Interesting is more fun when it's not a probably blood soaked reality.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, it was brought up numerous times that the supreme court could have been expanded and likely should have by now. Which would have let Biden appoint 2-4 new justices depending on how big the expansion. Who's taking bets that the republicans will do this instead and appoint additional justices on their side leaving the court votes at massive 2-11 votes while we march towards fascism?

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Oh dear god i hadnt even thought about what if THEY expand the court! Holy hell.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yep, I lay a lot of blame for the current circumstances at the dems feet. The repubs actually fight and play dirty to get what they want and the dems just let it happen. They could have mobilized young voters by codiyfing roe v wade. They could have legalized weed. They could have stopped funding genocide. They could have actually taken a swing at any of the election infrastructure designed to rob people of their ability to vote.

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Electoral college, districts gerrymandered to absolute fuck, completely imbalanced representation across every tier of governance. Voter registrations being mandatory and an entirely separate part of the process most people don't even know about. Expanded the supreme court so all these immunity laws passed to spare Trump would have been dead in the water.
