#13 There are a lot of gamers that unironically think this, unfortunately.
mithiwithi
Or at least claim to think it, because they're dimly aware that female characters not making them horny is a stupid reason to hate a game, but they desperately want to hate it anyway, so they contrive to convince themselves they're defending Western civilization by fighting for the fuckability of female characters.

It's easy, bisexuals are bifurcated (in general) and pansexuals are (mostly) shaved pandas.
GwensBackOnHerBS
#7 bisexual people dont like trans people or enbies. Pansexual people do.
Az663
So the meme is right.

#7 for anyone wondering—
Bisexual: I’m attracted to two or more genders
Pansexual: Gender isn’t particularly relevant to me in finding someone attractive
ThomasThundersword
I often heard it as “Bis are into anyone, but do have an overall gender, or at least presentation preference. Pans just DGAF”
0xDEC0DE
I always thought it was:
Bisexual: nobody believes you, and just assumes you're gay
Pansexual: Bi erasure is real, so let's use a new term without any baggage attached

#22 to account for availability, this but per dose consumed.
(don't ask me what a dose of alcohol is, do I look like I know?)
Az663
This accounts for availability - it's weighted for prevalance.

#21 the reader flops the Tower upon the table. I scoff, play a swamp followed by a dark ritual which I subsequently use to play Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw two more cards from my library. In response, the dealer whistles and signals the pit boss. His goons drag me from the gaming floor and give me a voucher for a Shirley Temple at the casino bar and tell me they'll break my fibulas in half if I return... And I end my turn.

#2 Villeneuve is so afraid of all the weird crap in Dune he even chickened out on doing St. Alia of the Knife, much less actually showing us the weirding way or any of the other really odd crap. Not only is he not planning on touching the God Emperor of Dune, he's made it clear he is stopping at the end of Dune Messiah and not even touching Children of Dune because you really can't do that without getting into really weird crap either.
RufusPimperton
What's weird about being possessed by your own grandpa?
DVSBSTrD
Not nearly as weird as possesing him.
kahlas
I was very disappointed in removing the weirding way from the movie. It would be very easy to show on film with editing technology where it is today. And in the right form too instead of the substitute the 1984 movie did with making it about turning sound into blaster bolts essentially.
DVSBSTrD
Which is why the Scifi channel miniseries will always be the superior adaptation.
DevilsAdvocat
much more canonically accurate as they were.. the acting -shudders- oh god the acting.. especially the guildsmen (I've not got it ripped to my computer or I'd post the scene I'm thinking of).. I mean, you can blame it on camp (or try to justify it as 'that's how guild navigators are'), but, so much of the acting is just so so hard to watch

OriginalSyn
Villenueve not wanting to get into Alia being a talking baby really fucked with the timeline of Paul proving himself and gaining the support of the Fremen as the Lisan al-Gaib, it was supposed to be over the course of years, instead it was less than 9 months so they could time jump in the third movie.
Vebrandsson
Either that or Jessica was pregnant for 3 years.

#7 As if that's the real question people struggle with and not whether bisexual means twice every sexual or once every other sexual
VagrantKoba
Every other sexual is actually semi sexual

I thought I was bisexual, turns out I'm just bi-myself.

I’ll be honest, I’ve looked back at certain stories with bisexual characters and now wonder if they’d be better defined as pansexual but I guess they can’t be since transitioning wasn’t really a thing until recently (by recently, I mean in my life it is relatively new compared to all the other years).
MzHartz
I consider myself bi instead of pan because as I'm attracted to all genders, I'm attracted to different genders differently (in fact, the more androgynous, the better). Whereas every pan person I know is attracted to people regardless of gender.
Vebrandsson
Bi and pan are the kind of terms that will defy hard line definitions no matter what and one person's interpretation of them is (usually) no less valid than another's. It's my view that generally bi persons are mostly those attracted to people that present predominantly as masculine or feminine, where as someone that is pan is fine with androgynous, gender fluid, intersex, agendered, and whatever else I can't think to name off the top of my head as well as masculine and feminine persons.
astrangehop
IMHO they both kinda incur a bit of flavor or meaning from zeitgheist they were originally generated.
Bisexual puts you at a 4 on the old Kinsey scale
Pansexual means you're sexually interested in people of any gender representation.
astrangehop
But you're right - queer identies don't have an FDA, WOTC, or Courts to strictly define them. It's just that identifying as pan means it's more likely you'd be down with a nonbinary partner and identifying as bisexual means you're probably over 35.
