This was taken about a week before he passed. He had colon cancer that spread to his liver and the rest of his body. He was 84. He was such an amazing person and I wish I could have spent more time with him before he passed. My mother and him had separated on bad terms and forced us to stay away from him until I was older and was able to make my own decisions about seeing him. She hated me for seeing him and staying in communication with him. My sister and I went to see him as soon as we found out he was sick and all he wanted was to see my brother before also before he died. My mother didn’t want my brother to see him and got angry that we my sister and I thought he should say good bye before he passed. He finally decided to see him when he was in the hospital and unresponsive. I think he could still hear me though. I spoke with him I hope he heard me tell him I love him.
This was my dad sister and brother. My dad was 64 when he had me and my mother was 26. I’m the one in the pink.
This is my sister and my dad. I wasn’t born yet.
I FaceTimed him when I was told that he was in the hospital and probably wouldn’t make it much longer. I live far away and had just came home from seeing him. He got really sick after I left and things went downhill. I spoke to him and told him my brother was there next to him when he finally decided to go see him. He passed after my brother got there. I hope he got what he wanted and was able to hear my brother. Love you so much pa I hope you watch over me I need you so much and I feel lost without you. It broke my heart to see him this way. His funeral is tomorrow and Im already crying.

Look I know people grieve in their own way but posting photos like this is probably not how your dad would want to be remembered.

It’s honestly plain creepy. I’m sure it’s meaningful to her but scrolling past it gives me chills

My dad passed 11 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of him. It hurts, but in time you learn to deal with the pain 1/2

Hold on to the memories and be thankful you had the time with him you did. Tell his story and keep his memory alive. My deepest condolences

I’m extremely sad from this but also caught off guard by the age difference of your parents

Holy fucking shit that's a disgusting gap
DoNotTakeSeriousPls
That took me by surprise. Really put me through an emotional rollercoaster

Some families are super fucked like that. My grandpa on my dad's side had a whole other family before he fucked off and married my grandma.

Damn. I guess it’s bound to happen at times

Oh man, looks like he had some really great stories. I'm sorry for your loss.

My dad went the same way, cancer. Strongest man I know and in the end... it was tough. Still is. But when it gets bad, I remember that what
fastjeff
he meant to me was unique. No less loved by others, but I knew him differently that anybody else. Some of the happy and beauty and memories
fastjeff
he had with me were with me alone. So when I bring those out there in the world, in a way, I'm showing him a world he didn't know. Which
fastjeff
makes him a part of the happy and the beauty that I see in the world. He's become a part of the beauty. I still get sad 2 years later, but
fastjeff
I'm always happy for that sadness.
