@HileyNoteson Yoooooooooooooooooooooo
This one is not a meme as much as a PSA I would have felt guilty about not sharing with you guys after having seen it myself.
My coworker sent me (Heather) this. Not everyone calls me Bottom believe it or not.
I also like that this meme implies there's a Heathest

#23 I hold a pen that way, and I've often used my arms for writing Todo lists (I worked in oil and paper would just get ruined and never work)

#2 Yep! I loved going to Dragon Con for so many years. Once attendance crossed 65k, it became a sensory overload for me.
I still hope people have fun, though. I struggle with cons.

#8 Beetroot, pineapple, and lettuce with that meat patty it is then my dude. Excellect choice. Do you want mayo on that?
moonweasel
Beetroot? Pineapple? On burger? Obviously a person of taste and sophistication, gotta be Ozzie or Kiwi with that combo

#36 really hope that it ended up wherever i found it by an extremely improbable string of events that makes it so it cant be traced back because i sure as hell would not want to get a visit by whomever lost it or worse to whom they were accountable to....

#26 I like how this could mean:
* people you've helped come to realize they should go to therapy with their problems
* people you've *caused* to need therapy
* people you've caused to need *physical* therapy

#28 I think the OS should strip that kind of meta data from files when shared through apps unless you opt in to keeping it on a per app basis

#5 that's... that's super cool, actually. damn.

#8 I typically take these toppings off too. Not because I don't like them (although warm pickles aren't a favorite of mine), but because my bite is off centered enough that I don't sever them, but instead drag all the toppings off the burger and into my lap.

#47 I own this book called “All Yesterdays” that focusses on exactly this. It opened my eyes on how (be it with the best intentions) poorly depictions of dinosaurs, etc. are.

#9 You've obviously never read Dwarf Fortress patch notes.
aslum
In the 2015 section, it's worth noting the cats WERE dying of alcohol poisoning. Dwarves would just dump out mugs on the floor when they left the bar. Cats clean themselves by licking their paws. Which got covered in alcohol when they wandered through the bar. But they couldn't handle the amount of alcohol they'd consume compared to their body size and so would over dose.

#23 I've actually started holding my pen this way. I've always had trouble writing, and it seems to help my cramps quite a bit.
cattothelibrarian
The best artist I know holds her drawing implements like this. I will never badmouth this grip.
BottomShelfVodka
How much did Taylor pay you to say this?
UserMCP
"You guys are getting paid?"
SoGrosslyIncandescent
I was just coming down to comment, I just tried holding the pen this way and it feels like I have the same amount of control over the pen, but i'm not locking up my thumb in a way that's gonna start cramping up in a few lines of notes
Richter12x2
She may have learned this after signing 17 bajillion autographs in a row
meganical
I can only write like this because I broke my middle finger in middle school and couldn’t hold a pencil or pen like I normally do. Still, it’s fun to have two different writing styles because they are certainly not the same
wickedcor
I hold it like that too! Helped with hand cramps in college while writing notes.

It's called the "Adaptive Tripod Grasp" or D'Nealean Grasp. Many users find it's helpful because it gives them more stability and control while writing. The "static tripod grasp" (held by the thumb, index, and middle finger, with the pen resting between the thumb and index finger) used to be seen by many as the "proper" way to grasp a pen, but that's usually not the case these days. Both of those tripod grasps are considered "mature" grasps that are fine, as long as they're comfortable.

Nah, D'Nealean is the Minbari ambassador on Babylon 5.
yakusokuN8
Occupational therapists who work with children are mostly concerned with making sure that children move past "immature" grasps that often require movement in the wrist or the whole arm and can lead to injury or fatigue. If you're not grasping the pen in the palm of your hand with all five fingers, it's unlikely to be a serious issue. I personally tend to use a "quadruped" grasp, where the pen rests on the ring finger, despite being corrected in grammar school to favor the tripod.
IngeniousBarbarian
OK but I just tried the Taylor Swift Method and my penmanship improved instantly, no joke.
yakusokuN8
I wrote a whole explanation in another reply, but it's a legitimate technique, called the "adaptive tripod grasp" and some people find it helpful. Just make sure that you're not squeezing too hard and it shouldn't be a problem and may help you gain stability and control, which leads to neater writing.
Circosys
Hope you're all doing alright

So much better. Only 4 more days of management left.

Got something new lined up?

Back to streaming full time and serving on the weekends. The money will be the same, but with less suffocating.

I'm not aware of the situation but i remember when i was asked if i wanted to be a manager while i was bartending and i decided that i'd rather join the army than be a manager (i did end up joining the army tho)

Thank you for your service! I joined the navy as a teenager. It's that attention to detail and sense of urgency that always gets me sucked into positions like these

#41 tiny octopus once loved a girl named Heather ( he still loves her but more...less if that makes sense) and he just sent this to her. When she responds, he'll let you know.
