You pay Hollywood for the ticket, you pay the theater (and the manufacturer, distributor, advertiser, and packaging company) for popcorn.

Movie theaters make almost nothing on ticket sales the first two weeks a movie is out. Regards, popcorn is still way overpriced.

Some don't pay for it at school. They either go hungry, or a lot of schools have programs for kids who need assistance.
