However, because these “good guys” are still evil, a lot of the funds they raise don’t actually go towards Trump-trolling advertising; they go to line the organizers’ pockets. That, and they like to run the ads on Fox News… which means Fox News gets paid too.

There was a lawyer show on TV about this some years ago. A high priced defense attorney was paid to defend a really rotten dude who actively admitted in private that he did it and that he had fun, but successfully lied under oath. So he quit his firm and applied to join the prosecutors, working with police to make arrests that stick.

I wouldn't trust him to actually restore Democracy, or even punish those who are allowing the orange kiddy diddler to do whatever he wants. At best, I'd expect him to do a bit of push back, to appease those who don't like fascism, then settle on maintaining the status quo so the next elected Republican can push this country further down the drain.
