Background: I come from a small, family-oriented, walk-to-school type of town that goes ALL OUT for Halloween. I'm a twenty something living at home surrounded by beautiful young couples, children, and families. As part of the spooky spirit, there is a game going around the neighborhood.
Last night some crazy person rang my doorbell (who tf does that?!) which got my dogs all loud and barking and crazy. I open the door, dogs flood out and appear to scare someone away. Down the street I see light flicker from a front door opening and closing. Interesting. I look down at my feet to find a large ziplock bag containing this!
The directions clearly state: YOU HAVE BEEN BOOED! Make two copies of this paper, GATHER TWO TREATS and boo two other neighbors! Hang your Boo sign by your door so people know if you've been booed already.
MY BOO-ER HOWEVER DID NOT THINK IT WAS NECESSARY TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. THIS IS LITERALLY WHATS WRONG WITH AMERICA. THE SUBTITLE JOYFULLY DECREES, "ENJOY YOUR TREATS!" WHAT TREAT? ALL I GOT WAS A GIANT ZIPLOCK FULL OF AIR PLUS THIS PIECE OF PAPER. THANKS FOR RUBBING IT IN GHOSTY. NO I DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY TREATS. YES I REALLY WANT SOME TREATS. YES IMA TEACH THIS YOUNGIN' HOW TO PLAY BY THE RULES.
An example of rules followed. "We've been Booed!" Hung outside my front door.
This morning I made an extra copy of the Boo paper and expressed myself as simply as possible. Of course the first writing utensil I found was crayon.
Into the oversized ziplock bag it went along with some TREATS worthy of lesson-teaching. I grabbed some healthy yet festively colored vegetables (baby carrots) as well as some stale pretzels from Halloween's past.
During my mature, casual and rule-abiding walk with my dogs I delivered some chocolate filled Boo packages to two new neighbors and also delivered a bag of revenge to my cheapskate Boo-er.
Two hours later in daylight and sans doorbell I find THIS on my front step...
Inside, I find:
1. The Boo paper with my crayon writing on it
2. My carrots
3. A single cough drop
4. I don't even know
5. Six cents
Close up of "I don't even know"
WELL GUESS WHAT KID. THOSE PRETZELS YOU DECIDED TO KEEP ARE TOTALLY STALE.
Any ideas for my next Boo! ?

The I don't knows are sesame seeds mixed with honey(like substance). They're actually lovely if fresh, but almost never are.

The 'I don't knows' are a sesame seed covered hard candy thing.
